Ballarat & District Open Gardens

A GUIDE FOR GARDEN GROUPS

FROM COTTAGE TO CASTLE

Click HERE for special events. Winter Gardens and Warm Woolies

This guide offers a range of historic and wonderful town and country gardens for the pleasure of visiting garden lovers. The following properties are listed for your pleasure and perusal. The aim is to provide groups of people the opportunity to see wonderful gardens, history, and a glimpse of exceptional private gardens, which normally lie behind a closed gate. The properties are an easy drive from one another on sealed, well sign posted roads. I encourage visits at all times of the year as there is much the keen gardener can learn in all seasons. Many gardens show their 'bones' well in winter months, and you can see how other gardeners carry out maintenance tasks through the seasons.

If you have never travelled to Ballarat before I can offer a guide for the day. Also a suggested itinerary can be discussed to fit in with your time restraints. Catering options are many and varied from picnic boxes, soup and bread rolls while wandering one of the town gardens or gourmet meals at a local restaurant, the choice is yours.

Ballarat is a tourist destination and there are many accommodation options should you wish to stay a few days There are of course other attractions and I am only too happy to offer assistance with locating these places.

Should you require further information please do not hesitate to contact Jan Todd at any time.

I look forward to seeing you soon.
